Lazy Labor Day
Welcome to my blog! This is my very first post, Enjoy!
"Let's be lazy today", he said...
A lazy Labor Day we are having. Our first Labor Day living in Colorado. Missing Family like Crazy!!!
This week, has been a rough week for us. My Husband, had an small procedure on his lower back. It has been a little taxing taking care of our 8 week old son, 13 year old daughter and a Husband who is down for the count for a few days. He is feeling better and is starting to walk around with ease. This week has really made me realize how much we miss our family.
Wednesday, day of surgery, I drove my Husband to the Surgery Center, and checked him in. I stayed with him until they took him back to prep him for surgery. I took the baby home. I felt awful because I wanted to stay and be there for him when he woke up. When he called me when he was in recovery, I packed the baby up as fast as I could to get to him. When I arrived and was taken back to recovery, I spoke with the nurse who advised that he needed to walk around throughout the day and went over at home care and when to call the doctor. Thursday, he was down completely. Friday, he was feeling better and wanted to get out of the house. So Friday-Sunday we were out and about running our errands.
As I stated in the beginning, it was taxing with my Husband recovering from surgery, I really needed help. My daughter helped as much as she could when she got out of school, but there is only so much a pre-teen can do. Its hard because we are here in Colorado without Family. I couldn't just call my family and my husband couldn't call his family and they would be here in 20 minutes to help. So when today came, Monday. My Husband and I were laying in bed this morning, deciding that we were going to see what Colorado had to offer for Labor Day, when he said "Let's be lazy today, let's do nothing". We got up and did our morning routine, and then watch movies. He told me to take some time for myself, and he any my daughter will care for the baby. I appreciate the time I was given, as I was able to finally create my blog!
