Hard Holidays- Missing the Family

Going through the Holidays without your family sucks!

Let me repeat SUCKS!

I was lucky enough to have some family come to Colorado for Thanksgiving. Which I loved and adored our time spent.

Going through the rest of the Holidays was a bit depressing for me. I say a bit because I still had a great Christmas with my husband and kids, New Years didn’t change (we stayed home lol). BUT I was missing our Thanksgiving and Christmas Traditions.

For Thanksgiving we have Campsgiving where we go camping for Thanksgiving and go “Christmas tree hunting“, a term my husband came up with. We all loved it. It was my best and fun tradition we came up with. Christmas we would spend Christmas Eve with one side of the Family and Christmas Day with the other.

Not being able to continue those traditions this year broke me because I realized we might not be able to continue them and my son won’t know of the fun and love all of shared. We are going to try to create new traditions here in Colorado but it will not be the same. We need family to make those traditions solid. I believe we can come with something and hopefully make it as great as the foundation traditions we had. If you have ideas for a family of four for traditions. Please leave me a comment.
